وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف کی سینئر صحافی الطاف حسن قریشی کے گھر آمد؛ اہلخانہ سے تعزیت اور فاتحہ خوانی

وزیرِ اعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے لاہور میں معروف اور سینئر مرحوم صحافی الطاف حسن قریشی کے گھر جا کر ان کے سوگوار خاندان سے ملاقات کی اور تعزیت کا اظہار کیا ہے۔ سرکاری نیوز ایجنسی (APP) کے مطابق، وزیرِ اعظم نے مرحوم کی روح کے ایصالِ ثواب کے لیے فاتحہ خوانی کی اور پسماندگان کے لیے صبرِ جمیل کی دعا کی۔

اہلخانہ سے ہمدردی کا اظہار

مرحوم صحافی کی رہائش گاہ پر آمد کے دوران وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف نے الطاف حسن قریشی کے بیٹے کامران حسن قریشی اور صاحبزادی قرطبہ مظہر سے ملاقات کی اور ان سے دلی ہمدردی کا اظہار کیا۔ وزیرِ اعظم نے دعا کی کہ اللہ تعالیٰ مرحوم کو جوارِ رحمت میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے اور سوگواران کو یہ بڑا صدمہ برداشت کرنے کی ہمت دے۔

صحافتی خدمات کو شاندار خراجِ تحسین

مرحوم الطاف حسن قریشی کی طویل صحافتی خدمات کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ انہوں نے اپنے پورے کیریئر میں اصول پسند اور تعمیری صحافت کے لیے گراں قدر خدمات سرانجام دیں۔ انہوں نے الطاف حسن قریشی کو ایک بہترین انسان اور پاکستانی صحافت کا ایک چمکتا ہوا ستارہ قرار دیا۔

وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ الطاف حسن قریشی کی رحلت سے پاکستانی صحافت کے میدان میں جو خلا پیدا ہوا ہے، اسے مدتوں تک پُر نہیں کیا جا سکے گا۔ ان کی پیشہ ورانہ خدمات اور تحریریں ہمیشہ آنے والے نئے صحافیوں کے لیے مشعلِ راہ رہیں گی۔

ملاقات کے اختتام پر وزیرِ اعظم نے پسماندگان کو یقین دلایا کہ دکھ کی اس گھڑی میں پوری قوم ان کے غم میں برابر کی شریک ہے۔

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of the renowned late journalist Altaf Hassan Qureshi in Lahore to offer his deep condolences to the bereaved family and offer Fateha for the departed soul.

Interacting with the Bereaved Family

During his visit, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt sympathies to the late journalist’s son, Kamran Hassan Qureshi, and daughter, Kurtaba Mazhar. PM Shehbaz prayed for the elevation of the deceased's ranks in the hereafter and for the family to bear this irreparable loss with patience and fortitude.

Tribute to an Outstanding Journalistic Career

Paying rich tribute to the veteran journalist, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Altaf Hassan Qureshi rendered monumental services to Pakistani journalism throughout his illustrious career. He described him as a distinguished media professional and an exceptional human being, noting that his demise has created a massive void in the country's intellectual landscape that will be difficult to fill.

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that Mr. Qureshi's immense contributions toward analytical writing and ethical reporting will always be remembered and revered by future generations of journalists.
